Sing-A-Long & Awards Assembly
You are invited to Kenter's Sing-A-Long and Awards Assembly on Tuesday, May 30th at 8:30 AM in the Coyote Courtyard.  Included in the festivities will be recognizing our student council officers, poetry contest winners, perfect attendance students, yearbook cover winners, Million-word challenge winner, Jumprope for Heart winner, among many more! For more information, see event program.

California Living History Museum
Kenter's fourth graders will present a living history museum dedicated to the important figures from California's rich history. Each student has prepared an exhibit and a speech about an individual who has made a major contribution to California. Wednesday, May 31 from 1:30 - 2:30 PM on the South Yard.  Come and support our students' year-long study of California while experiencing a fun, unique and interactive exhibition! Ice Cream Social
Celebrate the end of the school year at Kenter's annual ice cream social and dance party! Tuesday, June 6th, 2-3 PM on the South Yard.  Open to all grades, parents and siblings. $10 per person.  For more information, see flyer.

Utilities Critical Repairs Project Community Meeting
Thank you to all who attended the parent-community meeting on February 2 to learn about the massive critical utilities repair project at Kenter.  Topics discussed included the urgency of the project, safety of student and staff, the planned phases, and timeline/work schedules.  Here is the presentation that was shown at the meeting.

A message from Dr. Terry L. Moren, Principal

Kenter Canyon School is delighted to have you join our community and become an integral part of your child’s education.  Kenter Canyon offers a unique experience to its students because of the collaboration  between its dedicated staff and the incredible involvement of its parents.  The parent is the child’s first teacher and plays an integral part of their child’s learning process.  I believe we must work together to ensure a safe and positive learning environment that teaches children how to be safe, respectful, and responsible citizens, as well as thinkers, discoverers, and inquirers. Together, we will continue to make a difference in the lives of the children at Kenter.  I hope that you will become involved in your child’s classroom as well as the parent involvement opportunities afforded through our Parent Support Group (PSG), Governance Council, School Site Council, and school activities.  We need volunteers to help with classroom activities, school-wide functions, traffic safety, special projects, enrichment activities, field trip supervision and committee work.  Look for periodical announcements inviting you to TwT “Tea with Terry” socials----“TwT is an opportunity to join me for an informal chat about Kenter Canyon.  Together, we will make a positive difference in the lives of children. We need parents to help us be involved in solutions, not just reporting problems.  Together, we can make ordinary things extraordinary. (more…)
