Legally Blonde Jr. at Paul Revere
Paul Revere Middle School proudly presents "Legally Blonde Jr.", a fun-filled musical production. Enjoy great singing and energetic dancing, with a cast including several Kenter graduates. Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture, Legally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. It is a fabulously fun journey that will leave audiences seeing pink! SHOW DATES are Friday through Sunday, March 16-18. Tickets are $10-25 (available at the door) or buy them online here.
Don’t miss out on this popular Kenter enrichment evening on March 22nd.  Student sign-ups for Art Night are available here. Classes fill up fast and students MUST be registered to participate. Unfortunately, walk-ins will not be allowed to join the workshops due to space constraints. The list of the workshops is here. Concessions in the Coyote Courtyard begin at 5:00pm and classes are from 5:30 to 7:10 pm. Students are encouraged to wear old clothes and join us for an evening of fun!

The Parent Education Workshop scheduled for March 13 has now been postponed until Thursday, April 5 at 8:20am in Kenter Auditorium.  Visit to learn more about this interactive tutoring program for grades 2-5.  Several Kenter families are taking advantage of their one month free trial now.  Save the date! Kenter Kaleidoscope 2018
It’s Yearbook Time!  Please be on the lookout in Friday Folders for flyers and order forms in the next few days so you can order the Kenter Kaleidoscope 2018.  Books can be ordered online here or by placing an order form in the yearbook cubby by the office.  The last day to order is April 27, 2018.  They are $30/each.
Million Word Reading Challenge
Kenter Canyon is kicking off its annual Million Word Reading Challenge.  Students are encouraged to read each day and record their reading on the attached reading log. Here are some reading tips. Families may copy the log as many times as necessary. Additional logs are available in the office or can be downloaded here.  On May 4, the Reading Logs will be due.  Highest level readers at each grade level will win prizes at the May 29 Awards Assembly.  Turn in all Reading Logs to the Kenter Library on May 4.   We look forward to Kenter kids surpassing last year's reading goals.

Battle of the Ants!
Match wits against your fellow Kenter students in this programming contest.  Students will program controllers for virtual ants that will compete against other ant colonies for food on a playing field.  Students may work on their own, or in teams.  Students have the option to sign up for an afterschool class to help learn the programming environment for this contest – or they can learn independently on their own.  For more details, including an introductory video and programming guide, please see:

Utilities Critical Repairs Project Community Meeting

A message from Dr. Terry L. Moren, Principal

Kenter Canyon School is delighted to have you join our community and become an integral part of your child’s education.  Kenter Canyon offers a unique experience to its students because of the collaboration  between its dedicated staff and the incredible involvement of its parents.  The parent is the child’s first teacher and plays an integral part of their child’s learning process.  I believe we must work together to ensure a safe and positive learning environment that teaches children how to be safe, respectful, and responsible citizens, as well as thinkers, discoverers, and inquirers. Together, we will continue to make a difference in the lives of the children at Kenter.  I hope that you will become involved in your child’s classroom as well as the parent involvement opportunities afforded through our Parent Support Group (PSG), Governance Council, School Site Council, and school activities.  We need volunteers to help with classroom activities, school-wide functions, traffic safety, special projects, enrichment activities, field trip supervision and committee work.  Look for periodical announcements inviting you to TwT “Tea with Terry” socials----“TwT is an opportunity to join me for an informal chat about Kenter Canyon.  Together, we will make a positive difference in the lives of children.
