Message from Kenter Canyon Principal

E-mail Print PDF
Kenter School offers a unique experience to its students because of the collaborative work between the dedicated staff and the incredible involvement of its parents. The parent is the child's first teacher and plays an integral part of their child's learning process. I believe we must work together to ensure a safe and positive learning environment that teaches children how to be safe, respectful, and responsible citizens, as well as thinkers, discoverers, and inquirers. Together, we will continue to make a difference in the lives of the children at Kenter. We need parents to help us be involved in solutions, not just the reporting of problems. Together, we can make ordinary things extraordinary The most important thing for us to remember as parents and staff is our purpose. We have a tremendous faculty who is striving to bring a coherent program aligned to the state learning standards in an enthusiastic and productive manner. Their strong academic program coupled with a strong parental involvement body will create an even more successful learning community. Please know that I will strive each day to make the best of every child even better. Please contact me If you have suggestions, dismays, compliments, or just wish to discuss your child’s needs.

Coyote Courtyard Renovation Project

E-mail Print PDF

Courtyard Perspective

What is the campaign to renovation the "sunshine area"?

This upcoming summer, our Kenter community plans to renovate the courtyard area between the Elkins entrance to campus and the cafeteria, commonly referred to by our Kenter kids as the "sunshine area." We want to transform this neglected area into the true outdoor centerpiece of our campus. The premier design firm of Marmol Radziner signed-on to do all the design work at no cost to Kenter. This reconceived space will truly bring the beauty of our surrounding canyon environment into our campus and give our children an outdoor gathering space where they can sit, eat and learn and take advantage of our mild climate all year round. This is a one-time fundraising project that will give a lasting gift to our children and this school. At the Annual Gala and Live Auction held on February 23rd, we raised over $45,000 towards this goal however we are still looking to raise additional funds to ensure that the full scope of our plan can be realized. We hope that those of you who were not able to participate at the Gala will make a contribution to this community undertaking.
