Help Kenter Reduce Wasted Paper, Go Paperless!!
To support Kenter Canyon School’s environmental efforts with the 3 R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – and to help with our school's budget, Kenter’s Governance Council passed a *motion where all families will receive weekly flyers through our school website as opposed to a paper copy in each student's Friday Folder. Parents can "opt-in" to request paper copies by completing the "Opt-in Form".
We hope that you will support this effort, but we understand if you need paper because you do not have (or have limited) access to a computer. If you need to continue to receive all announcements and flyers in your Friday Folders, please complete and return the “Opt-In” form on this page (one form per family please). Unless a completed form is returned, you will no longer receive flyers in your Friday Folder.
Downloading Flyer Instructions
Click the link on the tab to the right to read the current fliers. We encourage you to consider the environment before printing. Be sure to check for fliers that require a signature or will need to be returned to school.
Important information for families using the website, please read:
• Fliers may not be uploaded until some time over the weekend.
• The Kenter Key is on it's own web page.
• You should also check the Home page and Calendar for information related to school.
•
We may not post every flier if the information is already available on the site.
• You will still always receive class work and class specific information in your Friday Folders.
If you are a chairperson with a flyer for the web site, please have it approved by Dr. Moren and email us a Word or PDF file by Wednesday before noon. Hard copies of the flier may be left in the web site box in the office for scanning which could cause a delay for posting to the site. Emailing a PDF is preferred because the format is correct and the digital file is better quality than the scan.

*FRIDAY FOLDER MOTION: As of January 30, 2009, our school will require an "opt-in," as opposed to an "opt-out" of Friday Folder updates. All communication will be available on Kenter's website. Any families requesting paper for a child will need to return an "opt-in" form for paper updates by Friday, January 30. Implementation will begin on Friday, February 20. No forms will be required of those obtaining their folders online. It will be presumed that anyone who has not filled out an "opt-in" form will receive their updates from Kenter's website. (It should be noted that this approach is in line with other district and private schools in our area who require communication to be electronic, and also in line with our principal's own electronic updates.)
